Don't you love it when you wake up in the morning and you're on (permanent) vacation and all you want is sun and warmth and the first thing you hear is local news getting giddy saying things like "Oh, we need it. We've been in a drought. Hallelujah! Praise God!" Well, we got it. It is raining like the proverbial cow pissin' on a flat rock. And it's supposed to do so right up until Sunday when we leave this park. Well, yee-hah. The drought is over. Paul's ready to head back to Arizona where we don't complain about lack of rain. We just sit back, enjoy the sun and watch the cactus grow.
Now we're waiting to see how watertight this tin can is and if this keeps up to see if it floats. Well, we'd like to think we'll just stay inside the trailer, stay warm and watch some TV but apparently we're in yet another modified tech-free zone. This and the previous Thousand Trails park do not have cable. And since our TV antenna's broken we only pick up a couple of local Houston stations much like the old Sylvania sets back in the 1950s and probably not as good. One other thing about the rain. We tied Daisy outside for five minutes so she could do her business and now the trailer smells like wet dog. So the adventure continues...
Today we'll go to a nearby outlet mall to buy some rain gear and a warm jacket which we'll probably have to stow by the time we hit Florida. If there's even a trailer left to stow things in.
It's really not all that bad and it's quite the experience, but couldn't we please, dear Lord, just have a small ray of sunshine and get the temps into the upper 70s?

Keep it clean, please. And nice. And complimentary.
